It is the calm, pH-correct foundation a scalp-and-skin routine is built on — and the preparation and removal step used across the Kapyderm in-center protocol.
Why the acid mantle matters
The acid mantle is the skin's slightly acidic protective film — its first line of defense and moisture barrier. Harsh cleansers disrupt it, leaving the scalp or skin vulnerable and reactive. The Normalising Base Wash is formulated at pH 5 to clean effectively while leaving that natural balance intact — creating the optimal surface condition for any subsequent Kapyderm treatment to penetrate and work.

Anionic & Amphoteric Agents
A balanced blend of Sodium Laureth Sulfate and Cocamidopropyl Betaine — effective cleansing that lifts oil and buildup without over-stripping the scalp's protective layer.
Hydrolyzed Collagen
Added to the formula to support a soft, conditioned feel on skin and hair after rinsing. Provides a light protective film without heaviness.
Lactic Acid
Keeps the formula at a skin-friendly pH in tune with the acid mantle — the critical condition for the scalp microbiome to remain balanced after cleansing.
PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate
A coconut-derived emollient that supports a smooth, comfortable feel and helps rinse away cleanly without residue.

How to use

How do I use it?
Emulsify over the area to be treated and rinse thoroughly. Repeat, then leave on for 3 to 10 minutes before a final rinse. Suitable for daily use on all skin and hair types.
Who is it for?
All skin and hair types — including children's skin. Its pH 5 formula and mild cleansing base make it suitable for sensitive and reactive scalps as well as normal skin. It is used in home protocols and as the preparation and removal step in professional in-center treatments.
What sizes does it come in?
250 ml, 500 ml (16.9 fl oz), and 1000 ml. The 500 ml is the standard home size; the 1000 ml is suited to professional use in a center setting.
Does it contain parabens or sulfates?
It is paraben-free. It contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) as part of its cleansing base — a widely used, well-tolerated surfactant at the concentration used in this formula. The full INCI is listed on the product and above.
How long after opening should I use it?
The period after opening is 12 months. Store away from direct sunlight and heat and close securely after use.
