A fresh, balanced scalp — without the grease.
Ivy · watercress · burdock — lightweight aqueous tonic for oily scalps
Seboregulator Tonic is a light leave-on tonic from Kapyderm's Dermotricology line — ivy, watercress and burdock in a fast-absorbing water base. For scalps that tend to feel oily or greasy. No warming response. No heaviness.
"Seboregulator is the gentler daily tonic for oily scalps — no warming, no alcohol, just ivy, watercress and burdock in a lightweight water base. The scalp stays fresh and balanced without that stripped feeling."
Oily scalps need a daily tonic that keeps them fresh and balanced — without adding weight, warmth or irritation to a scalp that's already reactive.
Seboregulator Tonic is a light, refreshing leave-on tonic from Kapyderm's Dermotricology line — one of the simplest and cleanest formulas in the tonic range. Its botanical blend of Hedera Helix (ivy), Nasturtium officinale (watercress) and Arctium majus (burdock root) addresses oily, grease-prone scalps from a gentle, water-based angle. No Methyl Nicotinate — no warming response. No alcohol. A fast-absorbing aqueous tonic that leaves the scalp feeling fresh, clean and balanced without stripping or heaviness.
Seboregulator vs Alogenic — two different approaches for oily scalps
Both tonics address oily scalp conditions but from different angles. Seboregulator Tonic is the gentler, water-based daily option — ivy, watercress and burdock, no warming response, no alcohol. Best for daily use on oily scalps where a light, no-sensation botanical tonic is preferred. Alogenic Tonic is the more active version — it adds Methyl Nicotinate for microcirculation activation, panthenol, salicylic acid, sulfur and potassium iodide. The warming response confirms deeper penetration. Used where a more intensive scalp intervention is indicated. Your certified Technician will guide the choice.
Inside the formula
Ivy (Hedera Helix)
Hedera helix leaf extract — also present in Alogenic Tonic, ivy is a traditional botanical for scalp toning and sebum balance. In Seboregulator it forms the primary botanical active for oily scalp support.
Watercress (Nasturtium Officinale)
Nasturtium officinale — also present in Base Tonic and Alogenic Tonic. Traditionally valued for its toning and nutritive properties in scalp care. Contributes to the fresh, balanced feel after application.
Burdock Root (Arctium Majus)
Arctium majus root extract — present across the oily scalp range (Oily Hair Wash, Ampoule N, Ampoule KN). The most consistent botanical in the Kapyderm oily scalp system, valued for its congestion-clearing and sebum-balancing properties.
Water-based · No alcohol · No warming
Unlike the ampoule-based tonics, Seboregulator uses a light aqueous base with no alcohol and no Methyl Nicotinate. No warming response. Fast-absorbing, leaving no residue — the lightest-texture tonic in the Dermotricology range.

What is Seboregulator Tonic?
It is a light, refreshing leave-on scalp tonic from Kapyderm's Dermotricology line — ivy, watercress and burdock in a fast-absorbing water base. For scalps that tend to feel oily or greasy. No warming response. No sulphates. No parabens. 30cc and 110cc sizes.
How is it different from Alogenic Tonic?
Both address scalp conditions but from different angles. Seboregulator is the gentler, water-based daily option — ivy, watercress and burdock, no warming response. Best for daily use where a light botanical tonic is preferred. Alogenic Tonic adds Methyl Nicotinate for microcirculation activation, panthenol, salicylic acid and sulfur — a more active formula with a warming response for more intensive intervention. Your certified Technician will guide the choice.
Will I feel a warming or tingling sensation?
No — Seboregulator Tonic does not contain Methyl Nicotinate or alcohol. There is no warming, tingling or cooling response. It is the gentlest leave-on tonic in the Dermotricology range.
How do I use it?
Apply to the scalp, distributing over the areas that tend to feel oily. Massage gently with the fingertips until completely absorbed. Do not rinse. Use daily as part of your routine or as advised by your specialist.
How does it fit into the oily scalp protocol?
Seboregulator Tonic is the daily leave-on botanical tonic step — applied after the Oily Hair Wash and alongside the K2 Tonic. The Oily Hair Wash clears excess sebum at the cleansing step; Seboregulator maintains scalp balance throughout the day; K2 provides botanical oil nourishment. Together they form the complete at-home oily scalp protocol.
What sizes does it come in?
30cc and 110cc. The 30cc for targeted application on specific areas; the 110cc for full scalp coverage in daily home use.
