Soft, smooth, conditioned hair and skin.
Sweet almond oil · hydrolyzed collagen · lactic acid — for hair and skin
Balsamic Collagen Emulsion is a dermo-capillary conditioning cream for both hair and skin — sweet almond oil and hydrolyzed collagen for softness and a stronger feel. Used mixed 50/50 with Organic Turba as the core treatment, or as a 5-minute rinse-out conditioning treatment on hair.
"The one we reach for in almost every treatment — mixed 50/50 with Turba it conditions and protects while the Turba clears. On its own it's a great 5-minute rinse-out for hair. Collagen and sweet almond, and it leaves everything soft."
Most conditioning products are made for either hair or skin. The Balsamic Collagen Emulsion is formulated for both — a single product that softens and conditions wherever you need it.
Balsamic Collagen Emulsion is a moisturizing, nourishing dermo-capillary cream from Kapyderm's Dermotricology line. Its formula is built around Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (sweet almond) oil — a lightweight emollient with a long history in hair and skin conditioning — and hydrolyzed collagen, which coats the hair fiber with a protein film that adds smoothness, slip and a stronger feel. Lactic acid contributes mild humectancy and helps support the skin barrier. Quaternium-80 provides detangling and conditioning without residue, and glycerin maintains skin moisture. In the Kapyderm system it is mixed 50/50 with Organic Turba as the core treatment, and on hair it can be used as a 5-minute rinse-out conditioning treatment.
Two ways to use it — the 50/50 treatment or a rinse-out
In the core treatment: mixed 50/50 with Organic Turba by your certified Technician and applied as one step — the conditioning half that clears and conditions together. On hair: apply to wet hair after shampooing, distribute through the lengths, leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse. The same product — two protocols.
Inside the formula
Sweet Almond Oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis)
A lightweight, high-oleic emollient oil with a long history in hair and skin conditioning. Absorbs easily without heaviness — softens the hair fiber and conditions skin without a greasy finish.CIR Expert Panel: safe for topical use. 2018 J Drugs Dermatol; Hajhashemi 2018, 160-patient RCT.
Hydrolyzed Collagen
Coats the hair fiber with a protein film that adds smoothness, reduces friction and contributes to a stronger, healthier feel. On skin, provides a light conditioning and film-forming effect.Topical = surface conditioning/film. Skin-firmness collagen trials are oral supplementation, not topical.
Quaternium-80
A silicone-quaternium conditioning agent that binds selectively to the cuticle, delivering detangling and slip on wet hair — reduces combing resistance and helps the formula distribute evenly without buildup.Silicone-quat conditioning film; CAS 134737-05-6.
Lactic Acid
An alpha-hydroxy acid and natural moisturizing factor. Research shows it supports ceramide synthesis and the skin barrier; at the low cosmetic level here it acts as a mild humectant and helps maintain a skin-friendly acidic pH.Rawlings et al., Arch Dermatol Res 1996 (PMID 8818186) — ceramide production ~300% in vitro; improved barrier.
Glycerin
One of the most-studied humectants in dermatology. Draws and holds water at the surface, is carried into the skin by aquaporin-3, and supports normal desquamation — keeping skin comfortable and hydrated.Thau, J Cosmet Sci 2002;53:229; aquaporin-3 hydration reviews; 20% glycerin barrier study.

What is Balsamic Collagen Emulsion?
It is a moisturizing, nourishing dermo-capillary conditioning cream from Kapyderm's Dermotricology line — formulated for both hair and skin. Built on hydrolyzed collagen and sweet almond oil, with lactic acid for barrier support and Quaternium-80 for slip. In the Kapyderm system it is mixed 50/50 with Organic Turba as the core treatment, or used as a 5-minute rinse-out conditioning treatment on hair.
Can I use it on both hair and skin?
Yes — it is specifically formulated for dual use. In the Kapyderm system it is the conditioning half of the core treatment, mixed 50/50 with Organic Turba. On hair it can also be used as a 5-minute rinse-out conditioning treatment on wet hair after shampooing.
How do I use it on hair?
Apply to wet hair after shampooing and distribute through the lengths. Leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. It is a rinse-out conditioning treatment used between in-center sessions.
What does it do for hair?
Sweet almond oil softens the hair fiber. Hydrolyzed collagen coats the hair with a protein film that adds smoothness and a stronger feel. Quaternium-80 reduces combing friction and adds slip and detangling. Lactic acid and glycerin support hydration. Topical collagen conditions and films the surface — it does not rebuild the body's own collagen.
What size does it come in?
250 ml (8.45 fl oz) — a generous tube suited to both hair and skin daily use.
Any cautions?
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use on damaged or irritated skin. Contains fragrance — patch test if you have sensitive skin. Discontinue if irritation occurs.
