In nearly every Kapyderm treatment, Organic Turba is mixed 50/50 with the Balsamic Collagen Emulsion and applied as a single combined treatment. This is not an optional flourish. What topical collagen can — and cannot — do

Squalane is the hydrogenated, stable form of squalene — a lipid the skin naturally produces. That structural similarity is why it absorbs cleanly, leaves no greasy residue, and is tolerated even by oily and reactive skin, with a comedogenic rating around the lowest tier. It supports the skin barrier by reducing transepidermal water loss while staying breathable, and because it does not readily oxidize the way most plant oils do, it is exceptionally stable in a formulation. Recent 2025 research adds an antioxidant dimension: squalane has been shown to protect dermal fibroblasts from UVA-induced oxidative damage and to help preserve collagen biosynthesis under UV stress — mechanism evidence beyond simple emolliency. Oil unsaponifiables — the barrier-restructuring fractions
The unsaponifiable fraction of a plant oil is the small (roughly 1–3%) portion that does not turn into soap — the concentrated phytosterols and tocopherols. Sweet almond oil, glycerin and the conditioning system
The Balsamic Collagen Emulsion pairs hydrolyzed collagen with sweet almond oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis) — a lightweight, oleic-rich emollient that softens and conditions both hair and skin — and Quaternium-80, a silicone-quaternium conditioning agent that binds to the hair cuticle and lays down a smooth, protective film for slip, shine and detangling.
